FAG bearing oil management and maintenance

Lubricating oil storage

Barreled and canned lubricants should be stored in the warehouse to the extent possible. How to identify the cause of damage to the FAG bearing of the fan to protect it from the weather, the opened packaged lubricant must be stored in the warehouse. The oil drum should be placed horizontally, and both ends of the barrel must be wedged to prevent rolling. If the bucket is placed straight, the bucket should be slightly inclined to prevent rainwater from collecting on the barrel surface and masking the copper plug. Water has an adverse effect on any lubricant. In addition, always check the oil drum for leaks and check whether the signs on the barrel surface are clear.

To take the oil, place the oil drum on a wooden frame of appropriate height, put the oil on the surface of the barrel with a faucet, and place a container under the faucet to prevent dripping, or put the barrel straight. The hand pump is inserted into the tubing from the mouth of the barrel to take oil.

Bulk oil storage tanks inevitably have condensed moisture and pollutants infiltrating, and as a result, they gather at the bottom of the tank to form a layer of sludge-like substance. The lubricating oil is thus contaminated, so the bottom of the tank is preferably winged or inclined. A drain cock is required to discharge the dross on time. The free end FAG bearing is selectively placed within the possible range where the deviation may be offset, and the inside of the tank should be cleaned up on schedule.

The effect of temperature on grease is greater than that of lubricating oil. If it is exposed to high temperature for a long time, the oil contained in the grease can be separated. Therefore, the grease barrel should be stored in the warehouse, and the barrel mouth should be placed upright. The mouth of the grease is large, and the dirt and water are more likely to penetrate. After use, the lid should be tightly closed.

Temperatures that are too low or too high have an adverse effect on the lubricating oil, so it is not advisable to store the lubricating oil for a long time in a place that is too hot or too cold.

Lubricating oil treatment

In addition to the various storage points of the lubricant, the special handling of the FAG bearing should not be ignored. If the lubricating oil is stored from the storage room to the disposal, the small amount of lubricating oil and the replenishing container must be covered and kept clean, cleaned on time, and dried with a cloth. Funnels and other lubricants must be treated the same. Wipe them with a rag, and do not use waste cotton or felt that tends to shed fibers, because their fibers are transferred from the vessel to the machine, into the lubrication system, and block the lubricant. flow.

Each lubricant should have a dedicated container and the name of the lubricant contained in the container should be indicated on the container to prevent mixing.

Waste oil or dirt shall be stored in the indicated vessel until the exhaust gas is exhausted. Be careful to ensure that the waste oil is placed separately from the new oil to prevent contamination of the new oil.

In general, the mixing of harmful impurities into the lubricating oil is more serious than the mixing into the lubricating oil. The abnormal FAG bearing operation sound has various kinds of intermittent. The impurities in the oil can be deposited on the bottom of the tank or the bottom of the container. The chances of a mechanical lubrication system are small. However, when impurities are mixed into the grease, the impurities will not precipitate, and sooner or later they will enter the machine and the lubricator.

Performance Analysis of Sliding NTN Bearing Grease

1. Sliding NTN bearings can also be lubricated with grease. The following points should be considered when selecting grease:

(1) When the NTN bearing load is large and the rotation speed is low, the grease with a small penetration degree should be selected, and vice versa. High-speed NTN bearings use a grease with a small taper and good mechanical stability. Special attention is paid to the lower viscosity of the base oil of the grease.

(2) The dropping point of the selected grease is generally higher than the working temperature of 20-30 ° C. In the case of continuous operation at high temperature, be careful not to exceed the allowable operating temperature range of the grease.

(3) When sliding NTN bearing works in water or wet environment, choose calcium-based, aluminum-based or lithium-based grease with good water resistance.

(4) Select a grease with good adhesion.

2. Selection of grease for sliding NTN bearing:

The load is <1MPa, the circumferential speed of the journal is less than 1m/s, the maximum working temperature is 75°C, and the calcium base grease No. 3 is used;

The load is 1-6.5MPa, the circumferential speed of the journal is 0.5-5m/s, the maximum working temperature is 55°C, and the calcium base grease No. 2 is used;

The load is >6.5MPa, the circumferential speed of the journal is less than 0.5m/s, the maximum working temperature is 75°C, and the calcium base grease No. 3 is used;

The load is <6.5MPa, the circumferential speed of the journal is 0.5-5m/s, the maximum working temperature is 120°C, and the No. 2 lithium grease is used;

The load is >6.5MPa, the circumferential speed of the journal is less than 0.5m/s, the maximum working temperature is 110°C, and the calcium-sodium grease of No. 2 is used;

The load is 1-6.5MPa, the circumferential speed of the journal is less than 1m/s, the maximum working temperature is 50-100°C, and the No. 2 lithium grease is used.

Load >5MPa The circumferential speed of the journal is 0.5m/s, the maximum working temperature is 60°C, and the No. 2 calendering grease is used;
